About Margaret
I was born in the ‘City of Gold ‘, Johannesburg, South Africa. Besides Johannesburg, I have lived in many beautiful places, such as Nelspruit, Durban and Pietermaritzburg. Each place left an indelible mark on my heart, along with a host of memories.
My passion for writing and creating began in early childhood, and I was an avid reader. I also got to work at a daily Newspaper, The Natal Witness , and loved the atmosphere that surrounds the journalistic world!
In 1980, I embarked on a new chapter of my life as I arrived in San Jose, California. Here, amidst the bustling energy of Silicon Valley, I raised three wonderful children, and my family has since grown to include four cherished grandchildren.
For over three decades, I dedicated myself to the meticulous world of accounting at the Valley Water District in San Jose. However, upon retiring, I found a new sense of fulfillment in the serene surroundings of Auburn, California, where my love for writing and creating flourished once more. The beauty in Auburn is conducive to writing and creating . I love to write poetry, and use that in books and story telling.
It was during this time that I began crafting books for family and friends, drawing upon my passion for storytelling and my eye for detail. Through word-of-mouth, Marjie’s Memories was born, a testament to my commitment to preserving cherished moments through the art of memory books.
Whether it's commemorating a special occasion or delving into the rich tapestry of family history, I pour my heart and soul into each creation, ensuring that every page reflects the essence of the stories we hold dear. Content Collection
Once we have a clear understanding of your preferences, you can send us your photos and any additional content you'd like to incorporate into the book. Whether it's heartfelt messages, anecdotes, or special quotes, we'll weave them seamlessly into the narrative.
Personalization & Creation
With your input and materials in hand, we'll get to work crafting your custom memory book. Our attention to detail ensures that every page reflects the love and memories
Delivery
You will receive a PDF of the book before it goes to print. You have a choice of soft or hard cover books.
